My life, for the past nine to ten months has been a complete bore. I never wanted to be a Software Engineer, and I never bargained for a Software Engineer post to be as boring as the one that I have right now.

Well, all that is about to change. I will be a Software Engineer for only a week (5 more days, in fact) and I will be joining another company as a Technical Writer. I know the word Technical in front of the word writer might take the creativity part out of the equation for most people, but for me, it's an added opportunity to show how creative I can really get.

Writing is something I always enjoyed doing, and one of the regrets in my life has been the fact that I have not written as much as I would have liked to.

This advice I have to give people who are stuck in a rut, in a boring job, with psychological problems in the horizon... Let go... Get out of your comfort zone, make amends for what you have missed. Take a risk and do what you enjoy. If you enjoy your job, you are in the best position to get promoted, thereby get increments and therefore, you will be reputed inside your company and in your field. You can't get anywhere by complaining.
